Cub Scout Pack 213

The time has come again! The Pinewood Derby will soon be run again. Now is the time to start building the car that you will run in the race.

The Pack Committee has made the plans to have the best Derby yet. The Pack has purchased an electronic finish line for the track and has made all the plans for the race.

So lets get ready to rumble! The race is on! Saturday, January 24, 2009 starting around 5:30 P.M. we will be having a tuning night and check-in. The Scouts will be able to run and tune thier cars up before the officially check them in for the race on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 1:00 P.M.

After the car has been checked in, it will be locked up in a room in the Scout Hut and no one will have access to them untill the race.
So check out the web sites below or do some research on your own. But lets all help our kids build that car that you hope will win. Just remember to follow the rules that are posted on this web site.

Remember, this is for the kids, please let them build the cars so everyone gets a fair chance. Parents should help the kids, just please do not build the car for them. This is a BSA sanctioned event for the Pack so we would like the boys to wear their full uniforms.

If you plan on raceing in the District Race, make sure you follow the district rules. They are different then our Pack rules and they will disquilify a car if there rules are not followed.
